This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central, South
Central and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

South winds increasing to 15 to 25 mph, with gusts around 30 mph,
will send temperatures soaring into the mid and upper 90s. This
would produce a very high grassland fire danger across much of
Central Kansas this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A very high grassland fire danger is possible in parts of Central
Kansas Friday afternoon.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible from Saturday afternoon through
next Tuesday. A few thunderstorms could contain 40 to 50 mph winds and
dime sized hail.
