This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Late this afternoon and Tonight

Heat indices of around 100 degrees will affect the Salina area, and
parts of southeast Kansas until early this evening.

A few storms will be possible tonight for locations generally
northwest of a Great Bend to Salina line. Brief heavy rain and
gusty winds will be possible with these storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Heat indices of around 105 degrees are expected Tuesday afternoon
and early evening, along the I-70 corridor in central Kansas. Heat
indices of 100 to 104 are expected throughout the remainder of the
area. Please refer to the heat advisory for details.

Heat indices of 105 to 108 are expected in the Salina area Wednesday
through Friday during the afternoon and early evening hours. Heat
indices of 100 to 105 are likely throughout the remainder of
central, south-central, and southeast Kansas. Please refer to the
excessive heat warning for the Salina area for details.

Chances for thunderstorms will return to the forecast for the
weekend with at least a few strong storms possible.


Spotter activation is not anticipated tonight.
