This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms will impact much of central and south
central Kansas this morning. An isolated strong storm with wind
gusts to 50 mph will be possible.

Increasing southerly winds will drive the fire danger into the very
high category over much of central and south central Kansas this
afternoon.

A few strong storms may impact areas along and east of the Kansas
Turnpike late tonight. The main threats will be small hail and
gusty
winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

There is a  chance of thunderstorms Saturday morning across south
central and eastern Kansas. Strong or severe storms are not
expected.

Winds will pick up again Tuesday and will bring the fire danger
back into the very high category.

Periodic thunderstorm chances are expected from Sunday night
through Thursday. A few strong storms will be possible.

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
