National Weather Service Wichita KS
500 PM CDT Wed Apr 26 2017

500 PM CDT Wed Apr 26 2017

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

There is a good chance of frost across Central Kansas late tonight,
with frost most likely and most widespread along and north of I-70.
A frost advisory has been posted for late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Frost is likely through daybreak in Central Kansas early Thursday

There will be of chance for storms over most areas Thursday night.
These are not expected to be strong or severe.

An extended round of rain and a few thunderstorms will affect mainly
Southeast Kansas starting Friday and persisting through the
weekend. The primary threat appears to be heavy rain and resultant
flooding, especially east of Highway 75 in Southeast Kansas. There
is a decent chance for significant rises on area rivers over the
weekend, which could linger into next week.

There is also a possibility of strong storms mainly over Labette
County Friday afternoon and early evening. This however is highly
conditional on the position of the front, and resultantly whether
sufficient instability would be present.

Spotter activation is not anticipated tonight.
