Colder air moved into Kansas overnight with gusty northerly winds
of 15 to 25 mph. Spotty very light snow occurred in the northwest,
with a few flurries noted across other parts of the state. Early
morning temperatures were mostly in the teens to lower 20s, with a
few single digit readings in the northwest. Wind chills were zero
to 8 below in the northwest, and in the single digits elsewhere.

A cold surface high pressure system will slide southward across
the Kansas region today, and over the Southern Plains tonight. A few
flurries or light snow showers are possible in western Nebraska
and far northwest Kansas. The remainder of the Heartland will be
mostly clear and dry. High temperatures in the 30s are forecast
for today. Lows tonight will be in the teens to middle 20s.
