Mostly clear skies were found across the plains states today, as an
upper ridge of high pressure moves across the area. Afternoon
temperatures ranged from the middle 80s in southwest Nebraska
to the upper 90s in Oklahoma.

The mostly clear skies will continue tonight into Tuesday, as a
ridge of high pressure moves across the southern plains.  Warm
southerly flow will lead to well above normal temperatures across
the region, with a few afternoon thunderstorms possible along the
front range of the Rockies for Tuesday afternoon.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the lower 50s in northwest
Kansas to the lower 70s in Oklahoma. High temperatures on Tuesday
will be well above normal, with highs ranging from the upper 80s in
northwest Missouri to the middle 90s in southwest Kansas and
