A STORM SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE ROCKIES BROUGHT SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND STORMS TO MUCH OF NORTHWEST KANSAS OVERNIGHT WHILE
THE ACTIVITY MOVED EASTWARD IMPACTING PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND
NORTHERN KANSAS DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. ABUNDANT MID AND
HIGH CLOUDS ALLOWED LOW TEMPERATURES TO REMAIN MILD WITH PREDAWN
READINGS RANGING FROM THE UPPER 40S OVER NORTHWEST KANSAS TO THE
UPPER 50S AND LOWER 60S ELSEWHERE.

WIDELY SCATTERED STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS. SOME OF THE
STORMS WILL BECOME SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS
BEING THE PRIMARY THREATS. UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND
CLOUDS...AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 70S
ACROSS NORTHWEST KANSAS TO THE LOWER 80S OVER MUCH OF EASTERN
KANSAS.

THE STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE NORTHEAST OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS
TONIGHT WITH PRECIPITATION ENDING FROM WEST TO EAST. LOW
TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM NEAR 40 OVER NORTHWEST KANSAS
TO THE LOWER 60S ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS.
