Clouds were on the increase overnight as scattered showers and
thunderstorms developed in parts of central and northeast Kansas.
Winds were light and variable with predawn temperatures ranging
from the upper 50s in far southeast Kansas, to the upper 60s in
parts of north central and northeast Kansas.

The showers and thunderstorms over northern Kansas and Nebraska
are expected to wane later this morning. A cold front will move
into, then become nearly stationary over Nebraska tonight. More
showers and storm are possible late this afternoon, but more
likely overnight across western Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa.

Forecast highs range from the mid 80s in eastern Missouri and
northeast Arkansas, to near 100 in northwest Kansas and southwest
Nebraska. Forecast lows range from the upper 50s in far western
Nebraska to near 70 over much of Oklahoma.
