Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
500 AM CST Fri Dec 8 2017

Southwest winds that slowly increased to 5 to 15 mph offset mostly
clear skies to enable temperatures to stabilize in the mid teens
during the night. In Central Kansas, where clouds were beginning to
increase, temperatures actually rose 5 to 10 degrees from 2 to 4
AM.

Extensive clouds will continue to spread south across the Plains
this morning as an upper-level trough also moves south across the
Great Lakes and Upper Mississippi Valley. Winds will shift toward
the northwest and increase, especially across the Western Plains,
where 20 to 30 mph sustained speeds are likely. This would limit
highs to the 40s with the Western Plains in the warmer end of the
spectrum.

Tonight won`t be as cold as northwest winds from 10 to 15 mph team
with variable cloudiness to limit lows to the mid 20s.
