Clear skies and calm winds have dominated the State this morning
after a prolonged period of brisk winds. Overnight lows have
ranged from the mid 40s in Northwest Kansas to the low 60s in
Southeast Kansas. Winds have been calm or near calm across the
state.

Today will be partly cloudy and a little cooler than yesterday.
Afternoon highs will range from the mid 50s in Northwest Kansas to
the mid 80s in Southeast Kansas as a frontal system moves through
the State. This will create a strong chance for shower and
thunderstorms, many of them could be severe with large hail strong
wind this this afternoon. Stay alert for rapidly changing weather
conditions this afternoon and evening.

Tonight, the shower and thunderstorm activity will slowly wane
into the overnight hours. This will allow the skies to clear some
giving way to partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will range from
mid 40s in Northwest Kansas to the mid 60s in Southeast Kansas.
Will be rather light and variable across the state ranging from 5
to 10 mph.
