Tranquil and mild weather prevailed across the eastern half of
Kansas overnight. Under mostly clear skies, predawn temperatures
were in the 60s and 70s.

Patchy fog will affect the region early this morning. Otherwise,
another warm day is expected for late September standards, with
highs in the 90s. Increasing humidity will support heat indices in
the low to mid 100s over portions of Kansas, Missouri and
Oklahoma.

Another mild and tranquil night is expected tonight, with
forecast lows in the 60s and 70s.
