Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
459 AM CST Tue Dec 5 2017

Colder air invaded Kansas overnight. Early morning temperatures
ranged from the teens in the north, to around 30 degrees near the
Oklahoma border. These temperatures were averaging 25 to 40
degrees colder than yesterday morning. Clear skies prevailed in
the north, with mostly cloudy skies in the south.

A much cooler airmass, than of recent days, will prevail across
the Central Plains today and tonight. A brief flurry or two is
possible this morning in northern Oklahoma and far southern Kansas
near the Oklahoma border. Otherwise, some morning cloudiness
across southern Kansas, southern Missouri, and Oklahoma will give
way to sunshine region-wide by this afternoon. Northwesterly winds
will increase to 15 to 25 mph and gusty this afternoon, before
diminishing tonight.

Highs this afternoon will be mainly in the middle 40s to around 50
degrees. Lows tonight will vary from the upper teens in far
western sections of Kansas and Nebraska, to the upper 20s to
around 30 over lower elevations of the Heartland.
