A strong frontal system has been moving across Kansas this
afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms have been occurring ahead
and along the front. Most of these thunderstorms are producing
rain and some moderate winds with a few producing very heavy rain.
There is a chance for some isolated severe thunderstorms this
afternoon across much of Central and Eastern Kansas. Wind is
expected to be the main threat. Highs ahead of the front have been
in the low 90s with upper 80s behind the front.

Overnight, the front will continue to move to the East with showers
and thunderstorms likely.  Central and Eastern Kansas are the most
likely areas to have this activity tonight.  Some isolated severe
storms are possible.  Overnight lows will range from the mid 50s in
Western Kansas to the mid 60s in Eastern Kansas.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and much cooler with any showers and
thunderstorms remaining from the overnight ending by 9 AM. Highs
will range from near 70 in Western kansas to near 80 in Southeast
Kansas. Winds will be Northwesterly at 15 to 25 mph.
