Rangeland Fire Danger Statement

.DISCUSSION...Cold and windy conditions are expected today. With
the cool conditions and some snow cover across parts of the area,
the grassland fire danger will be in the low category today. The
fire danger is expected to be in the low category for much of
this week.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fire occurrence is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions.

The outlook for Wednesday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
