.DISCUSSION...ANOTHER SPRING STORM SYSTEM WILL AFFECT FAR WESTERN
PORTIONS OF SOUTH DAKOTA LATER TODAY INTO FRIDAY, WITH RAIN AND
SNOW EXPECTED. ACROSS THE SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS, COOL AND DRY
CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND.

CONTENT OF GRASSES, AND OTHER DRY ORGANIC MATERIAL ON THE GROUND,
INDICATE THAT THE PROBABILITY OF A FIRE OCCURRENCE IS LOW.
OUTDOOR BURNING UNDER THESE CONDITIONS CAN USUALLY BE PERFORMED
WITH REASONABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

THE OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON, THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER INDEX
