Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
232 AM CDT Fri Jul 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Typical summer weather will continue across Northern Alabama as
we close out the week. Daytime heating and resultant instability
will bring scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms mainly
in the afternoon. Gusty winds, heavy downpours, and frequent
lightning could accompany the stronger storms. Storm chances will
be somewhat higher to the east today, and closer to the
Alabama/Tennessee border on Saturday.

High temperatures today and Saturday should range from the upper
80s to lower 90s, with minimum afternoon RH of around 60 percent.
Fair to Generally Good smoke dispersion rates are forecast today.
Generally Good to Good rates are expected Saturday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog development is
possible before daybreak, especially in sheltered locations and
near locations that received wetting rainfall the previous day.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Is not forecast at this time.
