...Precipitation Changing To Snow This Morning...

At 9 am, a cold front was moving east across north-central
Wisconsin. Rain and drizzle have started changing to snow from
Land O Lakes to Rhinelander to Tomahawk. This change over is
anticipated to spread to the east through the morning, reaching
the Wausau and Crandon areas by around midday. Snow accumulations
may reach an inch or two by midday over western half of Vilas,
Oneida, and Lincoln counties, and less than an inch elsewhere
through the noon hour.

Though temperatures remain temporarily above freezing at most
locations, ground temperatures are mostly below freezing. As a
result, the snow is expected to stick on roadways and sidewalks,
on top of a layer of ice that fell overnight. Therefore, road
conditions are expected to remain snow covered or icy. Use extra
caution if traveling or commuting today.
