This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Late this Afternoon and Tonight.

The heat index will peak between 100 and 105 degrees for most areas
this afternoon into early this evening.

Thunderstorms will move in from the west after midnight tonight and
track east across the area. Some of these storms have the potential
to be strong to severe with wind gusts up to 60 mph and small hail
possible. Locally heavy rainfall may also occur.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thunderstorms will linger for much of the day on Wednesday with
additional redevelopment possible later in the afternoon. Some of
these storms have the potential to be strong to severe, with the
primary hazards being hail up to the size of ping pong balls and
wind gusts to 60 mph. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding will
also be possible.

The heat index Wednesday afternoon will peak between 100 and 105
degrees, mainly south of a line from Hebron, Nebraska to
Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Although most of the Friday night through Monday time frame should
feature dry conditions, there are intermittent chances for
thunderstorms within various portions of the outlook area. At this
time, any risk for an organized, widespread severe weather event
appears rather low.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed after midnight tonight.
