2016 ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...

A POTENT COLD FRONT BEGAN TO CROSS THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS DURING
THE EARLY MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS ON THURSDAY...AUGUST 18TH 2016...AND
CONTINUED ITS SOUTHEASTWARD TREK INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF
FRIDAY...AUGUST 19TH 2016. HIGH TEMPERATURES ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA IN ADVANCE OF THIS COLD FRONT ON THURSDAY...AUGUST 18TH 2016 SOARED
INTO THE 90S TO EVEN 100 DEGREES AT BOTH THE VALENTINE AND O`NEILL AIRPORTS.
THE OBSERVED HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 100 DEGREES AT THE VALENTINE AIRPORT ON
THURSDAY...AUGUST 18TH WAS ONLY 4 DEGREES BELOW TYING A RECORD HIGH
TEMPERATURE FOR THIS DATE...AND WAS 13 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL HIGH
TEMPERATURE OF 87 DEGREES FOR AUGUST 18TH.

FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF THE AFOREMENTION COLD FRONT...HIGH TEMPERATURES ON
FRIDAY...AUGUST 19TH 2016 ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA STRUGGLED
INTO THE 70S. THESE HIGH TEMPERATURES...WERE NEARLY 15 TO 30 DEGREES BELOW WERE
THEY WERE 24 HOURS AGO AT THE SAME LOCATIONS. FURTHERMORE...HIGH TEMPERATURES
ON FRIDAY...AUGUST 19TH 2016 WERE 10 TO NEARLY 15 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS
DATE.
