Weather Summary for Western and North Central New York
National Weather Service Buffalo NY
158 AM EDT Wed May 17 2017

A warm front crossing the forecast area this morning will usher in a
summerlike airmass for later today. Sunshine along with a sub
tropical airmass will allow afternoon temperatures to surge to the
mid and upper 80s away from the lakes...with some of the warmer
valleys near 90. A gusty southwest wind as high as 40 mph downwind
of Lake Erie will help to keep the lakeshores notably cooler. The
very warm weather will continue through Thursday...then a cold front
will lead the way for more seasonable conditions late in the week.
