EXPECT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND MOVE
NORTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. SOME STORMS
WILL PRODUCE MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING
IN ADDITION TO GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 MPH. SMALL HAIL WILL ALSO BECOME
POSSIBLE LATER THIS AFTERNOON. RAINFALL UP TO A QUARTER OF AN INCH IS
LIKELY IN MANY PLACES...WITH LOCALIZED HEAVIER AMOUNTS. BE ALERT FOR
PONDING OF WATER AT TIMES AND THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME SMALLER ROCK
AND MUD SLIDES...ESPECIALLY IN STEEP TERRAIN.
