Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
255 AM CDT Thu May 13 2021

.DISCUSSION...

Good fire weather conditions are expected over the next few days
as high pressure settles into the region. Winds will generally be
from the north today and Friday and then slowly shift to the south
over the weekend. Given the drier airmass, RH values will drop
into the 30 to 35 percent range on Friday and are expected to
remain above critical thresholds. Under mostly clear skies, mixing
heights will rise above 2000 feet by 10 am each day and max out
above 6500 during the mid afternoon hours. Rain chances will
slowly increase by the middle of the upcoming work week, however
confidence is low on when the better chances for wetting rains
will occur.

Fog potential over the next few days: None at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
