909 FNUS54 KHUN 261942 FWFHUN Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama National Weather Service Huntsville AL 242 PM CDT Fri Jul 26 2024 .DISCUSSION... Dispersions are forecast to be generally poor to fair on Saturday and Sunday. This is due to mixing heights being around 1k-5k ft on Saturday and 3k-5k ft on Sunday, however this will be largely dependent on cloud coverage and presence of rainfall, which is still a bit uncertain. The transport winds are forecasted to be 2-8 mph from the east on Saturday and 5-13 mph from the south on Sunday. Wetting rains should also be a factor this weekend. Specifically, up to 0.4 inch possible in SW counties on Saturday and up to 0.8 inch possible across the entire area on Sunday. Although, rainfall amounts will likely be higher in isolated locations. RH minimums are forecasted to be around 60-70% both days. Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog remains possible across the area on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, but will be more prone to occur where rainfall fell the previous evening. Potential for Red Flag Conditions: No potential for red flag conditions ALZ001>003-270930- Lauderdale-Colbert-Franklin AL- Including the cities of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Russellville, and Red Bay 242 PM CDT Fri Jul 26 2024 Tonight Sat Sat Night Sun Cloud Cover MCldy MCldy MCldy MCldy Min/Max Temp 69 87 70 86 Max/Min RH % 100 62 100 71 Wind 20ft am (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Wind 20ft pm (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Chance Precip (%) 40 60 30 80 Precip Type Tstms Tstms Tstms Tstms Precip Duration 1 4 3 10 Precip Amount 0.02 0.07 0.02 0.63 Mixing Hgt(ft-agl/msl) 4200 5200 Transport Wnd (mph) NW 5 SW 7 LAL 3 4 4 4 Stability Class D D D D Max LVORI 10 9 10 9 Dispersion 14 Gen Poor 34 Fair Remarks...None. $$ ALZ004-014-270930- Lawrence-Winston- Including the cities of Moulton, Town Creek, and Haleyville 242 PM CDT Fri Jul 26 2024 Tonight Sat Sat Night Sun Cloud Cover MCldy MCldy MCldy MCldy Min/Max Temp 70 88 69 86 Max/Min RH % 100 58 100 68 Wind 20ft am (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Wind 20ft pm (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Chance Precip (%) 30 50 30 80 Precip Type Tstms Tstms Tstms Tstms Precip Duration 1 2 2 10 Precip Amount 0.00 0.12 0.02 0.61 Mixing Hgt(ft-agl/msl) 5200 5200 Transport Wnd (mph) N 2 S 5 LAL 3 4 4 4 Stability Class D D D D Max LVORI 10 8 10 8 Dispersion 14 Gen Poor 33 Fair Remarks...None. $$ ALZ005>007-016-270930- Limestone-Madison-Morgan-Cullman- Including the cities of Athens, Huntsville, Decatur, and Cullman 242 PM CDT Fri Jul 26 2024 Tonight Sat Sat Night Sun Cloud Cover MCldy MCldy MCldy MCldy Min/Max Temp 70 88 69 86 Max/Min RH % 100 62 100 71 Wind 20ft am (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Wind 20ft pm (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Chance Precip (%) 30 50 30 80 Precip Type Tstms Tstms Tstms Tstms Precip Duration 1 2 2 10 Precip Amount 0.01 0.07 0.01 0.54 Mixing Hgt(ft-agl/msl) 6000 5000 Transport Wnd (mph) NW 2 S 6 LAL 3 4 4 4 Stability Class D D D D Max LVORI 10 8 10 8 Dispersion 14 Gen Poor 34 Fair Remarks...None. $$ ALZ008>010-270930- Marshall-Jackson-DeKalb- Including the cities of Albertville, Boaz, Guntersville, Arab, Scottsboro, Fort Payne, and Rainsville 242 PM CDT Fri Jul 26 2024 Tonight Sat Sat Night Sun Cloud Cover MCldy MCldy MCldy MCldy Min/Max Temp 68 87 69 86 Max/Min RH % 100 62 100 68 Wind 20ft am (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Wind 20ft pm (mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Chance Precip (%) 30 50 30 80 Precip Type Tstms Tstms Tstms Tstms Precip Duration 1 2 2 10 Precip Amount 0.01 0.05 0.01 0.42 Mixing Hgt(ft-agl/msl) 6800 5100 Transport Wnd (mph) W 2 S 7 LAL 3 3 3 4 Stability Class D D D D Max LVORI 9 8 9 7 Dispersion 19 Gen Poor 34 Fair Remarks...None. $$ .FORECAST FOR DAYS 3 THROUGH 7... .SUNDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
