.DISCUSSION...

Chances for showers and thunderstorms will begin to increase
across the TN Valley early Sunday morning, as a slow-moving cold
front approaches the region from the northwest. This front is
predicted to stall across the local area from Sunday-Monday,
providing additional but beneficial rainfall, with anticipated
storm total precipitation amounts ranging from around 0.5 inch in
the northwest to 1.25 inches in the southeast. Given the expected
location of the cold front, light transport winds of 5-10 MPH will
result in generally poor smoke dispersion both Sunday and Monday.
An unsettled weather pattern will remain in place for much of
next week, with additional rounds of showers/thunderstorms on
Wednesday and Thursday bringing another 1-2 inches of rain to the
region.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy light fog and mist
will be possible within areas of precipitation on Sunday and
Monday.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
