Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
110 PM CDT Sun Jun 14 2026

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front is forecast to move in a NW to SE manner across
Northern Alabama this afternoon and early evening, resulting in
scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some of the
storms could become strong to severe, with wind gusts greater than
60 mph as the main threat. Heavy downpours and frequent lightning
will accompany the stronger storms and/or heavier showers. Shower
activity should end from west to east this evening, as drier
filters in from the west. Except for low shower/thunderstorm
chances south of the Tennessee River, dry conditions are forecast
for most of the area Monday and Tuesday.

Minimum afternoon relative humidity values should fall to around
60 percent on Monday, and 50 percent Tuesday. Fair smoke
dispersion rates are forecast on Monday, with Generally Good rates
on Tuesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog could develop
late in the night, mainly in and areas that receive heavy
rainfall.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not forecast at this time.
