...Storms With Heavy Rain, Severe Possible This Afternoon...

A line of storms extended from central Wisconsin west southwest
into parts of southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa at mid
afternoon. Heavy rainfall was accompanying some of the storms with
radar estimates upwards of 2 to 3 inches in a few spots. Urban
street flooding is occurring where the heavier rain has been
realized.

In addition, wind gusts up to 35 mph have accompanied the
stronger storms, along with pea sized hail. A few severe storms
could still be realized although localized flooding is becoming
the primary concern.

The storms will persist through the late afternoon with a slow sag
southward but general storm movement east northeast. This will
allow for repeated rounds of heavy rain over areas, heightening
the risk for flooding.
