THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

TONIGHT LAKE EFFECT SNOWFALL ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE OF LAKE
SUPERIOR WILL LEAD TO 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOWFALL ACROSS NORTHWEST
WISCONSIN...ESPECIALLY IN THE SNOW BELT REGION OF NORTHERN IRON
AND ASHLAND COUNTIES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

AN ADDITIONAL INCH TO PERHAPS TWO IS POSSIBLE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO
FRIDAY ALONG THE SNOWBELT REGION OF IRON COUNTY.

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TO THE
NORTHLAND SUNDAY. ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL BRING LIGHT SNOW OR A MIX TO
THE NORTHLAND LATE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATION
WILL BE POSSIBLE.

SNOW SPOTTERS ARE REQUESTED TO REPORT PRECIPITATION TYPE...AND
MEASUREMENTS OF SNOW OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS TODAY INTO THURSDAY TO
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. SPOTTERS AND THE PUBLIC CAN ALSO
REPORT PRECIPITATION TYPE WITH THE FREE M-PING SMARTPHONE APP.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

NORTHERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TONIGHT AND COULD CAUSE A PERIOD OF
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS FOR SMALL CRAFT ALONG PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH
SHORE AND FAR NORTH SHORE REGION NORTH OF LITTLE MARAIS.

ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM MAY MOVE THROUGH THE REGION LATE THIS WEEKEND
OR EARLY NEXT WEEK. DEPENDING ON THE STRENGTH AND TRACK OF THIS
SYSTEM...WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST. SHOULD THE SYSTEM
PASS NEARBY...THE WIND AND RESULTANT WAVES MAY CREATE CONDITIONS
HAZARDOUS TO SMALLER VESSELS.
