THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS FROM MIDDAY INTO EARLY THIS EVENING. SOME OF THE STORMS MAY
BE SEVERE...MAINLY FOR THOSE COUNTIES CLOSER TO THE OKLAHOMA
BORDER. THE MAIN STORM THREATS WILL BE HAIL OF QUARTER TO GOLFBALL
SIZE...DAMAGING WINDS...AND POSSIBLY A TORNADO. HAIL UP TO DIME
SIZE WILL BE POSSIBLE FURTHER NORTH INTO SOUTH CENTRAL AND
SOUTHEAST KANSAS. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER 1 INCH ARE
POSSIBLE CLOSE TO THE OKLAHOMA BORDER IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS. STORM
INTENSITY WILL DIMINISH AFTER DARK...WITH STORM CHANCES GRADUALLY
SHIFTING SOUTHWARD OUT OF SOUTHERN KANSAS BY MIDNIGHT.

STRONG AND GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP BEHIND A SOUTHWARD
MOVING COLD FRONT THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WHICH WILL ELEVATE
THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER INDEX TO VERY HIGH AREA-WIDE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOW OR RAIN ACROSS CENTRAL AND
SOUTHEAST KANSAS THURSDAY NIGHT. HOWEVER...NO SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
ARE EXPECTED.

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY NIGHT INTO
TUESDAY...MAINLY ACROSS SOUTHERN KANSAS.
