SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

VERY HIGH TO MARGINALLY EXTREME GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER IS LIKELY
TODAY...HIGHEST GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTHWEST OF THE TURNPIKE
CORRIDOR.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS
FRIDAY...BUT STRONG OR SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED.

VERY HIGH GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER IS POSSIBLE ONCE AGAIN SATURDAY
AND SUNDAY...ALTHOUGH SUNDAY`S FIRE DANGER WILL DEPEND ON THE
PRECIPITATION FORECAST. VERY HIGH GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER WILL
RETURN AGAIN FOR TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL INCREASE REGIONWIDE BY SATURDAY
NIGHT...AND ESPECIALLY SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...AS A STRONG
STORM SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT APPROACH THE REGION. WHILE
WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER APPEARS UNLIKELY...STRONG TO MARGINALLY
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE...CAPABLE OF DIME TO QUARTER
SIZED HAIL...50 TO 60 MPH WINDS...AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN.

A WINTRY MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW IS POSSIBLE OVER MAINLY CENTRAL
KANSAS LATE SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...AS COLDER AIR SURGES SOUTH
IN WAKE OF THE COLD FRONT. LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ON GRASSY
SURFACES ARE NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION.

NEAR-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY
NIGHT...WHICH MAY BE HARMFUL TO YOUNG OR SENSITIVE PLANTS.
