...Heat Indices near 100 degrees this Afternoon...

Hot weather will continue today with temperatures rising to 100 or
above this afternoon. The area of concern is generally east of a
line from Hayes Center to North Platte...Broken Bow to Bartlett.
Humidity will be low in this area but could still produce heat
indices near 100 degrees.

Those working or spending time outdoors, the elderly, children,
and those unaccustomed to the heat will be most susceptible to
heat illness.

Precautions can be taken to reduce your exposure to the heat of
the day. Drink plenty of fluids...frequent air-conditioned
spaces...and check up on relatives and neighbors.
