380 FXUS62 KMLB 050600 AFDMLB Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Melbourne FL 200 AM EDT Wed Jun 5 2024 ...New AVIATION... .AVIATION... (06Z TAFs) Issued at 200 AM EDT Wed Jun 5 2024 Mostly VFR conditions through today into tonight. Moisture increases slightly today with onshore flow continuing. This may lead to a little more convective development along the east coast sea breeze as it pushes inland through the afternoon. A few onshore moving showers will again be possible along the Treasure Coast this morning, with isolated to scattered showers and storms possible, especially across the interior through the afternoon. Greatest potential for storms will be near boundary interactions with the Lake Okeechobee breeze from mid to late afternoon inland of the Treasure Coast, and across Lake County with the sea breeze collision late day toward sunset. Any showers or storms that form along the sea breeze collision may be able to shift back toward the I-4 corridor into early evening, but this activity should then gradually diminish. For now have kept any mention to VCSH from KVRB-KSUA and also across KSFB/KMCO/KISM, with VCTS at KLEE from 22-02Z. Tempo IFR/MVFR conditions will be possible should any storms develop or move across any terminals today into this evening. Light E/SE winds around 5-7 knots will become easterly around 10-13 knots with the inland moving sea breeze boundary this afternoon. Winds then again diminish through late evening and overnight to 5 knots or less as they veer to the south. && .UPDATE... Issued at 940 PM EDT Tue Jun 4 2024 Another quiet evening of weather is expected, due in part to high pressure remaining over the area. Temperatures are falling into the 70s and will largely remain in the 70s through daybreak Wednesday. A few spots may fall briefly into the upper 60s, but tonight`s forecast lows are just a couple of degrees warmer when compared to last night. Onshore winds have lessened and will become light overnight. A passing shower cannot be ruled out along the Treasure Coast, especially toward sunrise, but most isolated showers or storms are likely to remain offshore. Only minor changes were made in this update, as the previous forecast remains in good shape. && .MARINE... Issued at 330 PM EDT Tue Jun 4 2024 Generally favorable boating conditions will persist into this weekend. However, daily shower and lightning storm chances are forecast, with increased chances of offshore-moving activity late week into the weekend. Otherwise, winds remaining under 15kts as onshore flow veers southeasterly Thursday, then southerly Friday, and offshore into the weekend. Seas 1-3ft. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
