A prolonged period of wintry precipitation will begin today, as
light snow arrives in far northern Wisconsin. An inch or two of
snow is expected across mainly Vilas county. Light snow or a mix
of light freezing rain and snow will continue across north central
Wisconsin tonight, with additional light accumulations anticipated.

Snow is expected to increase across the Northwoods on Monday, with
additional accumulations of 2 to 4 inches anticipated. The snow
could be heavy at times during the midday period. Light freezing
rain will also occur, especially in the early morning and late

A mix of light snow and freezing rain will continue Monday night
into Tuesday, with additional light snow and ice accumulations.

Total snowfall through the period could reach 3 to 7 inches,
along with ice accumulations of a tenth to a quarter inch.

Hazardous travel conditions will occur across the Northwoods
through Tuesday. Those with travel plans should closely monitor
the latest forecasts and statements from the National Weather
Service in Green Bay.
