A storm system over the Central Plains will deepen while tracking
northeastward into Northern Quebec Tuesday into Wednesday. This
system will spread light to moderate snow into our region Tuesday
morning...with the precipitation then mixing with and changing to
rain Tuesday afternoon and evening as warmer air overspreads the
area. During the changeover...a period of sleet and freezing rain
will be possible...mainly from the Southern Tier northeastward
across the Finger Lakes and North Country. Some gusty winds will
also accompany the approach and passage of this system Tuesday
and Tuesday night...with calmer and drier weather then returning
during Wednesday.
