...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN TRANSYLVANIA...
NORTHWESTERN HENDERSON...CENTRAL HAYWOOD AND SOUTHWESTERN BUNCOMBE
COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT...

At 719 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Waynesville, or near Lake Junaluska, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Waynesville, Canton, Lake Junaluska, Bent Creek, Clyde, Maggie
Valley, B.R. Parkway-Mount Pisgah To The Nc Arboretum, Mount Pisgah,
Enka, and West Asheville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
western North Carolina. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in
effect until 1100 PM EDT for western North Carolina.
