Weather Summary for Western and North Central New York
National Weather Service Buffalo NY
736 PM EST Mon Jan 9 2017

A ridge of high pressure moving off the East Coast will keep partly
cloudy and mainly dry weather through the early evening. A deepening
storm system will track from the Upper Mississippi Valley to
Northern Quebec Tuesday and Wednesday, with light snow changing to
rain during Tuesday as this system spreads much warmer air into our
region. During the changeover, a period of sleet and freezing rain
will be possible across region, as the warmer air aloft spreads east
ahead of the warm front.
