Snowfall totals vary widely along the Interstate 85 corridor from
northeast Georgia through the Greenville-Spartanburg metro area to
near Gastonia. However, some locations had enough snow for some
roads to remain snow covered or wet where melting occurred. With
temperatures falling into the 20s overnight, refreezing would
occur in these areas creating patches black ice. Drivers should
remain alert and take precautions for icy conditions.
