...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN LETCHER...
NORTHEASTERN PERRY AND SOUTHWESTERN KNOTT COUNTIES...

At 539 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Dice, or near
Hazard, moving east at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and dime size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Hazard, Hindman, Letcher, Bath, Vicco, Elic, Cody, Ritchie, Leburn,
Carr Creek, Ary, Emmalena, Bearville, Amelia, Redfox, Ivis, Garner,
Vest, Amburgey and Bulan.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
