Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Northwesterly winds will continue to slowly diminish as high pressure of 30.0 inches builds in from the west today. Winds will veer to northerly tonight into Sunday and become breezy as weak low pressure passes by through northern Illinois and strong high pressure of 30.5 inches begins to build in from the northern Plains. More rounds of gusty winds with multiple direction shifts are expected through at least the first half of next week as multiple low pressure systems move through the region.
