FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure of 30.3 inches will move across the northern Great
Lakes and Ontario today. A trough of low pressure around 29.9
inches will then approach from the west and move across Lake
Michigan tonight. East to southeasterly today will become breezy
southwest to westerly winds for tonight. The breezy westerly winds
will continue into Wednesday followed by light and variable winds
Wednesday night as high pressure of 30.2 inches moves across the
lake.

Breezy southerly winds approaching gales will then develop later
Thursday into Thursday night as low pressure around 29.5 inches
tracks from the central Great Plains to eastern Lake Superior. The
winds will then shift to brisk west to northwesterly on Friday
with the passage of the cold front.

Slight chance of rain showers this afternoon. Waves 1 to 3 ft.
.TONIGHT...Southeast winds 15 to 25 kt becoming south. Patchy
fog. Rain showers. Waves 2 to 4 ft building to 3 to 5 ft.
.WEDNESDAY...West winds to 30 kt. Waves 4 to 7 ft occasionally to
9 ft building to 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...West winds 15 to 25 kt veering to north 10 to
15 kt overnight. Waves 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft subsiding
to 1 to 3 ft.
.THURSDAY...East winds 15 to 25 kt becoming southeast. Rain
showers likely in the morning, then rain showers in the
afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 ft building to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to
8 ft.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...South winds to 30 kt with gale force gusts up to
35 kt possible becoming southwest. Showers likely. Waves 6 to 9
ft occasionally to 12 ft building to 8 to 11 ft occasionally to 14
ft.
.FRIDAY...West winds to 30 kt becoming northwest. Chance of
showers. Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft subsiding to 4 to
7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.SATURDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 20 kt diminishing to 10 to
15 kt. Waves 2 to 4 ft subsiding to 1 to 3 ft.
