OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
253 PM CDT Wed Apr 21 2021

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Weak low pressure of 30.1 inches over southwest Lake Michigan will
slowly move over the southern half of the lake before shifting
east of the area by Thursday morning. This weak low is producing
snow showers and over the southern half of the lake there is a
potential for waterspouts with these showers. The best chance is
over far southwestern Lake Michigan. This will be a concern until
9 PM CDT as we lose instability.

Northerly winds shift to the southwest to west this evening and
continue into Thursday. Winds pick up from the southwest Thursday
night becoming more south to southwest Friday as high pressure
over the Ohio Valley shifts to the east.
