OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
232 PM CDT Wed Jun 29 2022

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure of 30.2 inches will push east of the area tonight,
with southwest winds developing across the lake, ahead of another cold
front approaching the region from the northwest. A period of at
least occasional gale force gusts looks probable for the northern
half to third of the lake from Thursday morning through Thursday
evening, and have gone ahead and upgraded the Gale Watch to a Gale
Warning for this area for tomorrow.

These stronger winds over Lake Michigan will weaken as the above
mentioned cold front slowly moves south across the lake Thursday
night into Friday morning. Winds then lessen in speed throughout
the weekend as high pressure of 30.0 inches builds into the area.
