...Colder With Accumulating Snow Late Friday Into Saturday...

A strong cold front will move through eastern Kentucky Friday
into Friday night and usher in much colder air. Rain will
change over to snow Friday evening, with snow continuing into
Saturday. Snow accumulations of generally 1 to 3 inches are
currently expected. Highest accumulations will be north of
Interstate 64. With temperatures quickly dropping well below
freezing, icy conditions will likely develop Friday night into
Saturday. Both the snow and icy conditions will cause travel
impacts on area roadways, especially as below normal temperatures
persist through the weekend. This is an evolving system, so
please continue to monitor the latest forecast as we near closer
to the event for updated snowfall amounts.
