...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OUTBREAK POSSIBLE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...

A COLD FRONT IS FORECAST TO PASS ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY AND INTO THE
CENTRAL APPALACHIANS TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. AHEAD OF THIS
FRONT...A WARM...MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD
ACROSS EAST KENTUCKY. THE THREAT FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE
FROM NORTH TO SOUTH TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. AT THIS TIME...IT
APPEARS THAT A LINE OR COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL THEN LIKELY MOVE
ACROSS EAST KENTUCKY TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING IN ADVANCE OF THE
COLD FRONT. THERE IS AN ENHANCED POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
DURING THIS PERIOD WITH DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL THE PRIMARY
THREAT. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY ANY THUNDERSTORM
TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT.

THERE REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY IN THE FORECAST TIMING AND EVOLUTION
OF THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT. HOWEVER...THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR A
WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER EVENT TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AND
RESIDENTS OF EAST KENTUCKY ARE ADVISED TO STAY INFORMED ON THE
WEATHER OVER THE NEXT 24 TO 36 HOURS.
