DISCUSSION...
The upper low is now over Missouri and a positively-tilted ridge
is crossing the Rockies. A shortwave will miss the Panhandles to
the north but cause us to remain in northerly flow at the surface
through most of Tuesday. By Wednesday, we return to southerly flow
at the surface, and by Thursday a shortwave to the south of the
area will get picked up by the main flow. This will put the area
into southwest flow aloft and allow for descending warm air,
leading to temps in the 60s and fire weather concerns. Friday will
see a cold front passage through the Panhandles as an upper level
longwave trough crosses the Rockies. The weekend will start with a
chill with lows in the 20s but will warm back up into the 50s for
highs.

FIRE WEATHER...
The western Panhandles will see some possibilities for elevated
fire weather conditions for Wednesday. However, Thursday will be
the biggest concern day for fire conditions with the whole area in
elevated to critical conditions with the northwest being favored.
Fire concerns continue into Friday with elevated conditions
possible and any ongoing fires will need to be carefully monitored
as a cold front will turn the winds from southwesterly to
northerly.
