.UPDATE...
Issued at 709 PM EST Wed Dec 11 2024

Early evening IR satellite imagery is showing clear skies filling
in across the area as the cold front pushes south of the forecast
area. Behind the front, breezy northwest winds are fueling strong
cold air advection, with temperatures dropping rapidly across the
region. For tonight, temperature are on track to drop into the
mid 30s over the Nature Coast, and 40s to around 50 to the south.
With the cold temperatures and breezy conditions, a Cold Weather
Advisory is in effect for inland portions of much of west central
Florida due to wind chills dropping below 35 early Thursday
morning. Otherwise, the strong winds will also continue to produce
a high risk of rip currents along area beaches through the day on
Thursday.

The forecast remains on track for the overnight period, and no
significant changes are planned for the evening update.
