PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 432 AM CST TUE DEC 23 2014/

DISCUSSION...
THROUGH NOON TODAY...THE BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE ACROSS
SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA. MEANWHILE...COLD AIR
ADVECTION WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY AS A MID-LEVEL TROUGH
AXIS MOVES FROM WESTERN KANSAS INTO EASTERN OKLAHOMA. MIXING TODAY
WILL RESULT IN VERY GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS WITH GUST APPROACHING
40 MPH ACROSS PARTS OF NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. WILL
NOT ISSUE A WIND ADVISORY...AS STRONGER WINDS ARE EXPECTED NORTH
AND WEST OF THE FA. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF RAIN AND SOME SNOW
LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE FIRST PART OF TONIGHT. LITTLE OR NO
IMPACT IS EXPECTED FROM LIGHT SNOW TODAY.

COOL WEATHER IS EXPECTED ON CHRISTMAS EVE WITH ABUNDANT
SUNSHINE.

ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE AREA LATE WEDNESDAY INTO
THURSDAY. VERY GUSTY WINDS WILL DEVELOP CHRISTMAS DAY...AS
SURFACE LOW PRESSURE DEEPENS OVER EASTERN COLORADO. A WIND
ADVISORY WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED.

EARLY FRIDAY A COLD FRONT WILL ENTER NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA AND WILL
CLEAR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA BY LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON. CLOUDS WILL
INCREASE AHEAD OF ANOTHER TROUGH LATE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY. RAIN
AND/OR LIGHT SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY MORNING INTO THE
AFTERNOON...MAINLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF OKLAHOMA AND
WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. BY SATURDAY EVENING...BETTER CHANCES FOR
PRECIP WILL BE EAST AND SOUTH OF THE FA.

MOST MODELS SUGGEST THAT VERY COLD AIR WILL ARRIVE NEXT (MONDAY
INTO TUESDAY). THE DGEX HAS HIGHS IN THE 20S FOR TUESDAY WITH A
GUSTY NORTH WIND.
