shift towards the east and become relatively light this evening

another frontal boundary moves across the area. Some light rain
and/or snow may be possible in parts of N Cent OK Wednesday but
chances too low for mention in TAF at this time.

.PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 341 PM CST Tue Dec 6 2016/

DISCUSSION...
Surface winds will briefly shift to the east and southeast later
tonight into Wednesday, but as much colder air arrives Wednesday,
winds will quickly return to a northerly direction.

As a fast moving trough approaches and moves across the southern
and central Plains Wednesay, some light precipitation may reach
the ground in northern Oklahoma. Rather dry air below cloud base
will be a limiting factor during the late morning and early
afternoon. However, by mid to late afternoon, some light
snow/snow grains/flurries may reach the ground across north
central Oklahoma.

The main impact Wednesday night through Friday will be well below
average temperatures for early December. A brisk northerly wind
will result in single digit wind chill values across northern
Oklahoma. By sunrise Friday, some locations in north central and
perhaps southeast Oklahoma may see single digit temperatures.

A warming trend will start Friday as surface winds shift to a
southerly direction and then increase on Saturday. Another cold
front is expected to move into northern Oklahoma by Sunday
afternoon and then clear southern Oklahoma and north Texas Sunday
night.
